Information Collection

When you visit mythanx, you provide us with personal information you voluntarily choose to share that we collect and Web Site use information collected by us as you interact with our Web Site.

For example, mythanx will send notification emails to you and other participants; to notify them of activity on a thanx message that they have created, to notify your recipient that there has been a thanx message created in their name, or to provide you, your recipients and invited friends with promotional offers or other information. We also collect this information and we retain it in your thanx bank so that, you can return to view thanx messages that you have sent or received. Additionally, when you update information, we usually keep a backup copy of the prior version for a reasonable period of time to enable reversion to the prior version of that information. You post User Content on the Site at your own risk. Although we allow you to set privacy options that limit access to your thanx messages, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. If you disclose personal information in your profile or when posting comments, messages, photos, videos, or other items, this information may become publicly available. We cannot control the actions of other Users who are permitted to view the thanx you create or the profile information that you share. If you choose to invite friends to participate in a thanx that you are creating, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend's email address. We will automatically send your friend an email inviting them to signup on mythanx.com and participate in the thanx message that you have sponsored. mythanx stores this information to send this invitation and to send reminders to your friend to participate in your thanx, and to track statistics regarding the performance of the invitation features of the site. Children and mythanx

We recommend that minors over the age of 13 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet. Information Usage

When you register with mythanx, you create a personal profile. Profile information is used by mythanx primarily for the identification of mythanx users and to link; thanx messages, thanx bux (i.e. your thanx bank) and other user related features and functionality to your personal account. Where your privacy settings permit, other mythanx users can view and contribute to thanx messages that you create. Your profile photo, name, geography and what you are thankful for are available for public viewing on mythanx and will be made available in search results on the mythanx search engine. However, other personal information such as your gender and age will not be available for public viewing unless you specify to do so. Additionally, limited profile information may be made available to third party search engines primarily so that your friends and recipients can find you and send or read your public thanx messages.

You are in control of any personal information you provide to us on-line. If at any time you would like to correct the personal information we have about you or if you would like to change your contact information, you may do so by visiting the edit profile section of the website when you are logged in. However, if you create thanx messages, to share information with other mythanx users, you generally cannot remove such communications. Occasionally, mythanx may use your name and email address to send you information about new product offerings or service related announcements that we feel maybe valuable to you. Generally, you may opt out of such emails although mythanx reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.

Companies may from time to time be engaged by mythanx to perform a variety of functions, such as fulfilling orders, assisting with promotions, providing technical services for our web site, etc. These companies may have access to personal information if needed to perform such functions. However, these companies may only use such personal information for the purpose of performing that function and may not use it for any other purpose. mythanx may share information in your profile on an anonymous basis with third parties. We do this for instance to aggregate how many people have similar interests. This helps us provide more relevant advertising, mythanx features and functionality to our users.
