Be Great... Be Grateful TM

Parents teach their children from a very young age to say thank you. These two simple words have an impact far greater than the energy required to say them. Saying "thank you" is the source of powerful emotion both for those who deliver them and those that receive them. Perhaps it is just in our nature to be appreciative... perhaps it is just one of the immutable truths regarding the human condition. Have you ever looked into a child's eyes as they say thank you. The innocence and spirit through which they communicate their appreciation engenders feelings of joy to those they express their gratefulness to.

Unfortunately we lose that childlike innocence somewhere along the path of life. It is often replaced with the stress and concerns we face in our everyday lives. One of the best ways to combat this tendency is to find the time to express our appreciation to those things and people in our lives that make a difference... To be grateful for what we have and be thankful for it. Try it, you will immediately feel better, and it has the additional benefit of being contagious to those around us.

In fact, substantial research has been completed on the topic of gratitude and its influence on human happiness. The results quite clearly indicate that grateful people are not only happier but healthier as well. I don't know anyone who does not wish for a happier and healthier life. At mythanx we believe that you can be a great person by being grateful. So lets practice what we preach to our future generations. Say thanx... Say it often... Say it like you mean it... and say it loudly.

thanx for listening!
